On April 10, 2010, an aging Russian airliner carrying Polish President Lech Kaczynski and the first lady along with dozens of dignitaries, crashed over Smolensk, Russia, killing everyone aboard. The passengers were traveling to a ceremony commemorating a slaughter that has divided Russia and Poland for seven decades.
