Opened in 1937, Gleason's Gym remains the oldest, active boxing gym in the U.S. Its name has become one of the most well-known brands in American boxing. Gleason's has been a training headquarters for such boxing legends as Jake LaMotta, Muhammad Ali and Roberto Duran. All together, there have been 117 world champions who have trained at the gym. Currently three active title holders work out in the gym as well as numerous contenders and dozens of Golden Gloves champions.

Bob Jackson started as a boxer when he was 17 now he is 70 and he is a trainer. He's been in Gleason's for more than 20 years.

Hector Roca, seated, is a world famous trainer. He has trained numerous champions including Iran Barkley, Arturo Gatti, Regilio Tuur and Buddy McGirt. He also trained the actor Hilary Swank for her role in the film Million Dollar Baby.
Pedro Saiz, from the Dominican Republic, is a three-time National Champion and two-time Central American Champion. He is now a trainer at Gleason's Gym.
